The Future of Delivery is Only in Gothenburg

Volvo's hometown of Gothenburg, Sweden always gets the latest goodies from our favorite car company first. Check out Volvo's latest technology that could revolutionize convenience, if it ever makes it to Falls Church, VA.

At the end of a long day at work, the last thing you want to do is go shopping. Your feet are already tired, and you just want to go home and relax. But somebody needs to make dinner.

Wouldn't it be nice if you could just go out to your car, and all your groceries are already packed in the trunk and ready to go home with you?

That's the sort of people-first convenience Volvo is trying to deliver with their new digital key technology.

With the touch of a button, you can order your goods, and create a digital key, good for one use only. The deliverer brings your order straight to your car, then locks it up again, and the key ceases to exist, keeping your security uncompromised.

What do you think? Would you trust a delivery person with a digital key to your new Volvo? Let us know what you think in the comments, or come see us in person at Don Beyer Volvo of Falls Church.
